Got these shoes for walking, but I now wear them to the gym also. They are good for light classes and walking on the treadmill, they have good traction on gym floors. I wouldn't wear them for running, or real heavy training classes, but for everything else they are just right, specially if you are on the heavier side and need extra support, like me.
Good shoes if you have back problems, very cushioned yet supportive. I got them for my mom, for work, she is on her feet a lot. She absolutely loved them, now I'm getting a pair for myself, after I give them a try I'll tell you how it went.
