I bought this because I fell for the hype - 2 in 1; controls dandruff; volumizing shampoo/conditioner. It has a nice light fragrance; suds up well; has a built in conditioner; and rinses cleanly. However, it does not control my dandruff (it dries out my scalp even more) and leaves my hair exactly the same way as it started - thin and wavy w/o added volume. I doubt if I`d be buying this again.
It may not work for everyone, but my husband uses this shampoo daily and it makes a HUGE difference. He`d tried Selsun Blue and TGel (a few of the different formulas) before his doctor recommended he try one with pyrithione zinc in it. The thick, scaly kind of dandruff is caused by a fungus, evidently; pyrithione zinc is what keeps it in check. The doctor said that the trick is to get your hair wet in the shower and then suds up your head, massaging the scalp without scratching (eyebrows can be included if necessary). Leave it in your hair for a good 3-5 minutes before rinsing it out.
I bought this because of my scalp problems, and all this did was make it worst!!! I would never recommend this product to any one! It is a total waste of money!
