I started using this on my short hair. It is now medium long and I still use it & love it. Be careful not to use too much or it will become heavy. I use my fingertips to run through sections of my hair for a peice-y, chunky look. It also controls frizz and can be refreshed without going "flat". A wonderful plus is the fragrance - very earthy and calming - not a cheap, bubblegum, fruity scent like so many otherwise fine haircare products.
This is one of my favorite hair products. Some may find the smell of this product pretty intense, but all and all it works wonders for taming fly-aways, and for people who are over using styling gels because it makes your hair feel hard then this is a product you should definitely try. Also, if you have a short spiky or textured hair cut buy this product!!!
I didn`t realize this was for short hair until I read all the reviews. Obviously, I don`t have short hair or it might have worked for me. The few times that I did try to use this, it made my hair look greasy, so I guess use it sparingly.
This is one of my all-time favorite styling products, despite the high price (it lasts a long time!). Definitely for shorter hair. It gives your hair some "tack" and helps you make it piece-y. Careful not to use too much though, because it could look greasy. I love the smell.
I have used Aveda products before and thought I would try this after I had finished a similar product by Redken. I would only recommend this product to people with SHORT hair (thus the 2 stars). As for the smell, everyone keeps commenting on how much they love it, but it is too earthy/herbal of scent for me. I do appreciate aveda`s earth friendly policies, but I will not be using this particular product again.

"Product" certainly isn`t just for women. I`m a guy with thick hair that is hard to manage. Most gels and other hair products leave my hair looking wet and rigid. This stuff is great though. It gives control with a dry look, and is not greasy or stiff at all. My girlfriend can run her fingers through my hair when using this stuff (unlike gels) so that`s certainly another plus. :)
Great product. I just got a haircut and usually I get frustrated trying to style it the next day. This product did the trick - great hold without stiffness, very pliable; I can really work with my hair when I`m using it. I`m not used to scented hair products so that will take a little getting used to (it`s not unpleasant - just different), but very worth it for what it can do.
I`m a guy with thick hair and this is hands-down the best styling product I`ve ever used. It shapes hair perfectly with just a small amount and never appears oily or hardens your hair. It`s pricey, but it`ll last people with short hair at least two months. I like it SO MUCH that I had to stop a write a review about it. Recognize.
I love this product. I have thick hair and like to get a "chunky" look with my bangs flat and back of hair poofy. Nothing else works like this. I have used every single bit of this paste, including scraping it out of the corners. I love the smell and hold it has- not too wet looking, but gives a really pretty shine. I also use it the smooth out my flyaways.
This is a great product. Use a small amount on dry hair. I love the scent.
This is a wonderful product, as long as you use it in small amounts and when hair is dry- it will last all day and look totally fresh. I am sooooo sold!!
This is very heavily fragranced. It makes my scalp itch!
Ick...initially, this product did the "messy" look well. Not even 2 hours later, my hair looked limp and greasy. Waste of money!
