I have thick, long, very curly hair that tends to get very frizzy and I LOVE this product. I don`t actually use it to straighten my hair. I use it as an anti-frizz serum. I just wash my hair and apply a quarter size amount throughout my hair and let air-dry. On very humid days I mix with the Aveda Flax Seed gel. The best part is it?s all natural, so it not only styles my hair but it makes it healthier over all. Especially compared to most styling products which are full of alcohol and chemicals. I highly recommend this product.
Most of my hair is nice and smooth, but I`ve got some kind of kinky hair on my underneath layers, and that`s always made styling really difficult. Whatever the kinky hair wanted to do is what defined the direction that my nicer hair went in. So, this terrific hang straight stuff has solved that. Just a little squirt, evenly smoothed onto my bad hair, and I can have whatever style I want! Yay!
Love, love, love this product! Don`t use too much, or else your hair will be greasy, use just enough to lightly distribute throughout hair. I have straight-ish hair, it has some waviness to it, and tons of flyaways, this reduces the flyaways greatly, and removes awkward, random waves in my hair.
This product is great! I have curly hair and when using this product before blow drying my hair, it gets it straight and smooth. Just a little goes a long way.
This product is great. It smoothes your hair - whether you want to dry it straight or let it dry natural. You only need a dime size amount if you have long hair. I`ve been using this product for years and my hair looks great. I would 100% recommend this product!
My hair is past my shoulders and I had to use a lot of product. Using it on damp hair (as recommended) didn`t work for me, though it looked fantastic on dry hair... shiny and swingy. The scent is light, unlike other Aveda products. Overall, a good product for my wavy hair.
I have long, naturally wavy hair that I wash twice a week. The "Hang Straight" removes frizz. If I use it and brush my hair straight while blow-drying, it leaves my hair smooth and manageable. As an unexpected bonus my hair dries much faster when I use this product! Also it does not make my hair feel greasy or require me to wash it sooner. I`m totally sold on this product and notice quite an increase in frizziness when I don`t use it.
I have tried many leave-in conditioners and smoothing products; all still left me with dry ends or weighed my medium-weight hair down. This is the first product that actually lives up to its claims. It leaves my hair shiny and protects against the crunchy ends I am used to seeing after blow-drying. Most importantly all you notice is your own natural, silky hair, not a greasy or waxy product film. A nickel-sized amount is perfect for shoulder-length, slightly wavy hair.
I like this product for my straight, thick hair which has some wavy strands mixed in. It helps it to dry straight and lie flat so it doesn`t look as bushy (I use a volumizer for the roots sometimes). I use the Hang Straight lotion in combination with Aveda`s smoothing fluid and a flat iron when I want a very straight look. At the least, it`s a good leave-in conditioner when using heat styling tools.
This product allows me to blow dry my curly hair in a minimal amount of time and my hair stays straight all day. It gives me as close to a salon blow-out as I can get at home.
I believe this product actually made my hair fall out!! After I ended usage, my hair almost instantly looked healthier, fuller, and there was less of it in the drain.
