Cleaning ability is fine but I really do not care for the scent, which I find neither fresh nor citrusy... just vaguely unpleasant
I agree that it does a better job in maintaining a clean shower but falters a bit on an already dirty shower. I might fold and use the remainder of my Soft Scrub to get rid of what this can`t, and then continue maintenance with Seventh for the rest! Guilty as charged, but I can`t spend an hour cleaning the shower.
This is a great alternative to the traditional cleaners. There are no harsh fumes or chemicals that can damage tissue and skin. This product works better if you start off with a clean shower/tub. It prevents the buildup of soap scum and hard water spots if you use it daily after showering. However, if you use it with a magic eraser and elbow grease it does clean a dirty shower.
It did take a little more elbow grease than some of the regular shower cleaning products, but it was worth it. This is better then having to hold my breath the entire time to avoid breathing toxic fumes. Now, I can safely make my KIDS scrub the shower!
Very pleasant scent, cleans my shower well, good to use every day. For tough stains, I use one of those magic erasers with this, and it works even better than Scrubbing Bubbles.
Usually I don`t freak out about "chemicals" in my products, but I can definitely tell a difference between this and products with more artificial ingredients: it smells much better (like an orange grove!), and it doesn`t make me sneeze or make my eyes water after using it. It`s a wonderful change from chlorine-containing, less environmentally friendly products, and I`ve had great results with it so far - then again, I have a very easy to clean shower. The only drawback might be that it`s a bit pricey, so stock up now while it`s on sale!
This product did not work well for me. I enjoyed the scent, but cleaning the tub with this shower cleaner requires more elbow grease than I am willing to invest.
I give this product a 2 for wonderfully energizing fresh smell and the fact that it`s natural; but for post-shower cleaning power I recommend Method Daily Shower Cleaner. It does a much better job. The smell is still much better than the other more toxic brands AND it actually cleans a dirty shower along with prolonging the time between cleanings. I give Method 5 stars.
I`d been happy with other Seventh Generation products in past years. So when I went looking for a non-toxic solution to a mildew problem in my shower stall, I gave their Shower Cleaner a try. It did not disappoint. For prevention of mildew, its key ingredient is hydrogen peroxide (unlike the ammonia or worse found in the toxic brands` products.) At first, all that remains after application is a faint, pleasant citrus scent and the slight foaming of the hydrogen peroxide wherever the cleaner pools. After it dries, there`s nothing but clean surfaces and fresh air. Before I started using this product, my shower stall had a faint, lasting mildew smell, even though it had been scrubbed to a shine. Now, using this after every shower, the air in the stall is clean; no mildew or mildew smell at all. Perfect.
This smells awesome -- very citrusy :) I use it all over the bathroom and I love it !
I`m a fan of Seventh Generation Brand, but this product is average to good. Its cleaning abilities are nothing special, but it has a nice smell, unlike many cleaners which have nasty fumes, so that`s a plus.
