I have strange hair...oily with a flaky scalp and I have tried so many products...most of them weighed my hair down and didn`t solve the problem. After I had my hair done at the salon, I bought some Aveda shampoo and loved it so I tried this conditioner and it really does work. My scalp isn`t peeling anymore and my hair isn`t flat and stuck to my head. I tried not using the conditioner for about a week and my scalp began to flake again...so it really does work and it doesn`t have a strong smell like most dandruff shampoos!
I`ve never been a huge fan of Aveda products, so the only reason I purchased this and the matching shampoo is because of all the positive reviews I`ve read. I`ve been having a hard time trying to find a shampoo/conditioner to help clear up my scalp, since it was starting to get dry, itchy and flaky due to using harsh shampoos. This line I think is meant to be used maybe 1-2x a week. I am using it daily now to help clear up my scalp, after it clears, I will go back to using a more moisturizing shampoo/conditioner. I did give this 3 stars, because it works, but found it to be very drying and definitely not the best detangler, but I do love the spicy smell (smells like pepper). I will buy this again, but like I said, only limit my usage to when I need it.
The shampoo and conditioner worked wonders for my dry scalp and my hair looks so healthy everyone comments on it.
This is a wonderful product. My hair is extremely dry and damaged. This conditioner was very light but made my hair soft, silky and manageable. The scent is very herbal and fresh.
This is one of Aveda`s best products! It left my coarse, over processed hair feeling soft and smooth. My scalp was also very dry and within the first week of using this product it was back to normal--wonderful!!!
Smells a bit licorice-y (one of the ingredients) and it didn`t work well on my fine wavy hair. Of course, if you use in combination with Elements smoothing serum, any conditioner can be effective!! Much prefer Brilliant by Aveda, or Climatress by Redken for the dry climate of Colorado, California and Arizona where I`ve spent the past three years.
This is a great product for my hair`s fine texture. It makes my hair shiny and soft without adding any heaviness to it. I keep buying and re-buying it--I`m hooked!
