This economical multivitamin provides 100% RDA iron... if and only if you are a woman in her reproductive years. For the other two-thirds of the population, 18 mg iron is over double the RDA of 8mg, which is usually found in an omnivorous diet. For most of us, iron builds up over time, leading to something serious known as iron overload syndrome (look it up online). I`m giving it 3 stars for being an economical multivitamin for women; but my wife will have to finish off this batch, as I was starting to develop symptoms consistent with iron overload and will have to change over to another multi. YMMV
I`ve been taking these for a while now. I need a multivitamin with iron since like most people I don`t get enough through my diet alone. I also have a problem swallowing pills. I love that you only have to take one and it`s nice and small. About the size, shape, and similar color to an Advil tablet.
I have a problem swallowing large pills and capsules -- they always get stuck in my throat. These vitamins are very small and easy to swallow. Granted, this doesn`t have minerals in it (other than iron) but if you want a good multi-vitamin that`s easy to swallow, this is the one to try.
