This is the first time I`ve used a product like this so I don`t have a reference. I must admit the results can be a bit deceiving because the reference line and test line colors are so similar. The first time I used the First Response OPT I had to compare my results with the example in the instruction booklet AND online. Two days later, my BBT dropped significantly and I took another OPT...et voila! It worked! The results were clear--after cross checking the instruction booklet again. These OPKs are accurate but hard to read. Now that I know what to expect, I`m sure next month will be a lot easier.
I bought these after being unsuccessful two months in a row. I didn`t know if they would work, but I thought I would give it a shot, since I was pretty sure of when I ovulated anyway. Well, according to these, I ovulated earlier than I thought, and I am proud to say that my husband & I are expecting our first baby in January! I would honestly recommend these to anybody trying to conceive!
I understand that these tests work for a lot of people, but I am not one of them. I took this test on the four most fertile days of my cycle, and the test never detected an LH surge. However, I did conceive that cycle. So, I may just be one of the women that these tests do not work for. All in all, these tests just added stress and frustration.
