I had been using GNC Women`s Ultra Mega Active for a few years; however, my doctor told me to find a multi-vitamin without iron. GNC Women`s Ultra Mega Without Iron and Iodine is perfect because it still has the 500 mg of Calcium but it doesn`t have iron or any artificial sweetener like Sucralose. I only wish that they were a little easier to swallow. They are rather large.
I really love these vitamins, mostly because they are iodine-free. My skin is very sensitive to anything that causes breakouts, so whenever I take a vitamin with iodine I start to break out within a couple days (I can`t even drink milk because of the iodine). I am so thankful that GNC makes an iodine-free vitamin so that I don`t have to take a million different pills to get the benefits of a multivitamin. I don`t know if they make a difference, and I usually just take one a day (and I don`t really think that they are all that much bigger than a regular multivitamin). GNC, please do not ever discontinue these! They are the only multivitamin I will ever use!
I am quite happy with these vitamins. I am on a low-carb way of eating and love the fact that these vitamins don`t have extra iron. I am usually sensitive to vitamins and several have made me nauseous, but these do not make me feel sick. It is a really comprehensive formula; the only way it could be improved would be if there was more calcium. The pills are huge and could benefit from having a better tasting coating, but overall I am very happy. I would definitely recommend this product.
