Though the product smelled great and lingered throughout the day, it didn`t really do anything for my hair. It actually made it worse. I have really super straight shoulder length hair that`s somewhat thin and this product made it very frizzy and really hard to comb through. I had to use double the amount of detangler than I normally use. A bit of disappointment especially because of the price. I would not buy this product again. It doesn`t work for me but may work for others.
This product smells great but is not amazing. I have fine curly hair which tends to be frizzy. This conditioner did not weigh my hair down but did not give it too much moisture either. My hair was still frizzy after use. I recommend this if you have fine hair but not course thick hair. In addition to using this you should use an anti frizz gel or similar product.
Wow!!! This is the best conditioner I`ve ever used. My hair was soft, soft, soft after use. Love it!!!
This all natural conditioner feels like it soaks in too much, but it is easy to brush your hair with it. I have very long hair, and I do not have to use a detangler with this conditioner. My hair is very shiny and healthy-looking with it. Plus, it smells great! I highly recommend it if you have normal hair.
Aveda`s products are all great, especially for normal to dry, long hair. Regarding the comment about not enough lather - inexpensive shampoo products use a surfactant (such as sodium laurel sulfate) to produce a lot of lather which also strips the natural oils from the hair and scalp. A lot of lather also means too much shampoo is being used. Aveda products don`t contain these or other harsh ingredients.
Great conditioner when used with the Brilliant shampoo. Makes hair smooth and shiny, not dull. And the smell is fabulous!!
Aveda`s Brilliant products smell wonderful, and that is the only reason anyone should buy them, because the shampoo and conditioner are very average. Considering the price, `average` just isn`t good enough. My hair is shoulder-length, highlighted, and very fine. Normally not a huge challenge for any shampoo or conditioner. With the Brilliant products, it takes a LOT of shampoo to make a lather, and a LOT of conditioner to make my hair manageable. Neither one seems to really clean or condition efficiently. My hair DOES smell great when done, I`ll give it that much. Because of how much I need to use to get a lather, I seem to be going through the 6.7oz at a fast rate of speed! My suggestion to you: use a more practical and effective shampoo, like something from Neutrogena, and then use a finishing `Brilliant` product (like the hairspray) to put in the fabulous smell that everyone loves. The Brilliant shampoo and conditioner just aren`t worth the money for the results.
I *love* the way the Brilliant shampoo and condition smell. It is the only reason why I buy it. It doesn`t make my hair any softer or shinier than other brands, but the smell is wonderful!
I enjoy using this product. I find a little goes a very long way and the smell is wonderful. It`s a little more perfumed and richer than the regular Aveda shampoos and conditioners. I`m not giving it a perfect score because I haven`t noticed a truly astounding change in my hair or anything. Granted, I have odd hair -- long and textured/very slightly frizzy. Stylists have asked me if I`m a year or so out of a perm. No -- nothing but a blow dryer and gloss products make my hair silky, but I was hoping for the best with a product of this cost and reputation. I might buy it again, but I`m not a devotee.
The conditioner was just okay. I was left with the same dull and frizzy hair as before I paid for this Brilliant Conditioner. I wasn`t expecting a miracle, but for so much money I did expect an improvement. I do enjoy the smell of this product. It is earthy and would work well for a man or a woman.
I love this as much as I love the shampoo! It smells great and it makes my hair look shiny and healthy. I can finally comb through my hair without having to cry...and even if I don`t blow-dry my hair, it feels and looks full (and I don`t have a lot of hair on my head...believe me)! Worth every penny, lasts forever!!

This is a great conditioner. I have curly, dry hair. I use this along with the Sap Moss shampoo. It`s not too heavy and gets the job done. I also use a very small amount as a leave-in conditioner, and it helps to tame frizz.
This is the best conditioner in the Aveda line. I have tried several of the others, and the Brilliant is my favorite. It is thick and smells great - my hair is never weighed down or greasy. This product is expensive, but is well worth the money.
This is a fabulous conditioner. It`s thick and really seems to absorb into hair. You just can`t beat the smell of the whole Brilliant line.
