I purchased this based on reviews to try as an alternative to the Bare Minerals that I had been using. This had a lighter coverage than the Bare Minerals, resulting in a much more natural look (not cakey, not settling into any of my larger pores or fine lines), which was pleasing; however, if you have any dark blemishes, you will still need an additional concealer. I`m only giving this 4 stars because this shade "Fair (Ultra Light)", is not ultra light. It was still too dark for my very pale skin tone. This makeup made my skin look fantastic, and if the color had worked for me, I would be in love and would have given this 5 stars.
I bought the Fair (Ultra Light) mineral makeup, and the color matched my skin perfectly. I am not sure what all the hype is about mineral makeup, as it just appears to be a powder (yes, free of talc) and is messy to apply (sprinkles all over the place). I am not sure if the mineral makeup controls oil production, but it does reduce shine.
This makeup truly is amazing!!! First, I should state; I`m an interesting juxtaposition. I`m in my 40`s and my skin is super sensitive, but oily; except under my eyes, which is dry. All of the other mineral powder foundations end up looking and feeling like I`ve smeared caulk on my face or latex paint. They bond with the oil on my skin and end up being way too heavy, looks like a mask, and are hard to remove. This is the ONLY mineral powder foundation to use if you have oilier skin! It works wonders for my dry under eye area as well. They don`t look creepy, the way old style powders make them look. It remains light, airy, and it actually covers, even though it`s sheer. My skin can breathe! I look polished, feel confident, and it lasts. I love this stuff! It doesn`t get cake-y or settle into creases. That`s wonderful! I will never buy anything else, ever again. They named it right, Amazing. If I could give this a million stars I would. Seriously, its worth every penny.
Absolutely amazing!! This made my ruddy, acne prone skin looked flawless. I will DEFINITELY buy again.
