You get more eyedrops for your money and they work just as well as those contact lense eyedrops. My eye doctor said there was no problem using them instead of the more expensive brands.
I have tried almost every dry eye drop on the market, and this is my favorite. I now carry the little bottle in my purse, everywhere I go, just in case it is needed (so far no spills from it). My husband carries his in his pocket. I always use it right before bed, and right when I wake up, and that makes my eyes moist enough that I don`t need much more than that (usually just in dry Malls w/ strong AC or in the car with air blowing directly in my face...). I was using the other brands all throughout the day, every day, and this product cut my use (but again, important to take right before bed and as you wake). My eye doctor said it should be fine to use this product a minimum of 15 minutes before contacts, and not to use it with the contacts, since it hasn`t been proven to work with them, to her knowledge, then again, when you take your contacts out. Note, before I found this product I had stopped wearing contacts, due to my eyes being so dry. It helped me get back in them.
Simalisan is very soothing and provides relief -- but I also love it from a cosmetic perspective. I have a pinguicula, which appears as a sort of broken blood vessel in my eye. I wear contacts, so Visine is a no-no. My new eye doctor recommended this and it`s the only thing that has ever diminished the red line caused by the pinguicula. Between this and switching to disposables, I almost don`t notice the line anymore. I use this exclusively now.
