I use this product as a nutritional supplement, and it really fills the bill. I recommended it to my best friend because he works a lot and frequently can`t get out to get food. He loves it and now he keeps a six pack in the fridge at his work and has one almost every day! It tastes great and is loaded with nutrients. A great product all around.
I was prescribed Ensure Plus during my pregnancy as I couldn`t keep any other food down and needed to gain 30 lbs. While pregnant, the Milk Chocolate tasted like rich cocoa. Although I can understand how a previous reviewer might have hated the taste, I know pregnancy does really weird things to your taste buds - it`s the reason why I couldn`t keep anything else down (meat tasted like soap, for example). Years later, I continue to drink the Chocolate Ensure Plus as part of my diet, as it`s healthy and still tastes great - it`s the best tasting in the bunch, I think.
I picked up a pack of these to add to my snack routine after having trouble gaining weight for my pregnancy and I can say that I`m a little sorry I did. I like the fact that it`s an easy, healthy snack for me to get some calories when I don`t feel hungry (which is almost never) but the flavor is not something I will ever get used to. I regret wasting so much on a whole 6 pack of this flavor and to be truly honest, it smells just like cat urine. Believe me, I know; I`m a cat person. I have 4 left and I don`t think I`ll be able to finish them. Ensure Plus is a good product but steer clear of the chocolate flavor! If you got to have a sweet chocolate treat for a snack, get the original Ensure!
