My husband and I eat these before going to the gym. I would also take them on hikes and bike rides. They are very good and don`t have the sugar that you get from many energy products.
I use this product when I go on runs longer than an hour. I use one package every two hours on training runs along with electrolite replacing beverage eating two or three pieces every half hour. I will be giving these to my friends who will be watching the marathon so that they can throw me a package as i run by if I need some more fuel. These are better than shot blocks or goo in my opinion.
Sharkies are great! They`re sort of a cross between Gatorade and Gummi Bears, and were my fuel on marathon training runs. Not everyone likes Gu or Power Gel on a long run, bur Sharkies are easier on the stomach, both because they`re organic and also because you have more control over your intake. A bag of Sharkies is the equivalent of 2 packets of Gu, but a little harder to squeeze into the key pocket of my running shorts. Usually I open the package to let the air out before stuffing it in.
