Very convenient way to take glucosamine.I either have to crush pills or empty capsules into juice. This is easier with same results.
I love them... since Gastric Bypass surgery I have taken nothing but them... recommended 100%.
My doctor recommended I take the pills, but I have a lot of trouble swallowing them. The chewables have a tolerable flavor. The results are great! I will continue this treatment.
This works (it relieves the pain in my runner`s knees), and it even starts out tasting good. But, as you continue to chew, the chocolate candy flavor is overcome by a salty, medicinal texture and taste that is horrible! I continue to use it, as I can`t swallow pills as large as glucosamine tend to be, but it`s nasty stuff!
I cannot swallow pills, so a "great tasting" chewable seemed like a godsend to me. It turned out to be a total waste of money. I ended up spitting out the very first chew that I tried because the taste was so disgusting, it made me gag. Right into the trash.
As a candy alternative, the Tri-Flex Soft Chewables make a nice treat, although the chocolate flavor is more like caramel. What`s interesting about this Tri-Flex product, is each chewable only contains 500mg of glucosamine whereas each tablet or capsule contains 1500mg. The recommended dosage of the tablet/capsule is 3 times daily, whereas the chewables are 2-3 daily. This doesn`t really make sense, since the tablet/capsules contain 3 times the amount of glucosamine as the chewable? One final point, EACH chewable is 20 calories, so dieters beware.
I have suffered from joint pain for years. I was hesitant to take anything for it because I have extreme difficulty swallowing pills. This product was a remedy for that. It works really well. I noticed a difference in my pain within one week. I definitely recommend it. And although it`s no candy bar, the taste is absolutely tolerable for the results you`ll get.
This is a really good product. I bought this because I started experiencing knee pain from running and because osteo-arthritis is a big problem for the women in my family. So far I haven`t had any knee pain since I started taking this product. It does taste like real chocolate as well. I took one point off because I wish there were more chews in a canister. I might switch to pill form so I don`t need to buy these every month.
