Made my children vomit a few hours after they took it. At first I thought it was just a coincidence, but it happened each time. Ipecac is one of the ingredients, so I guess the vomiting should not have been that big of a surprise.
It is a very good cough medication for children. My child, 2.5 year old, was coughing for more than two months. I was giving him regular cough syrups, antibiotics, other treatments. Every day I was fighting with his cough and nothing actually helped. So, I ordered this syrup. In 1 day, he stopped coughing at night. In about 3 days he stopped coughing completely. It was such a relief for me. I am stay at home mom; so, there was no problem for me to give my child medication every 2 hours. Even if I would have to give him every 30 minutes, I would do this, as long as it helps my child. He did not want to drink the syrup from the spoon (for the last two months I gave him a lot of cough syrup that did not taste that good). So I was adding this to his milk, and he just loved this "yammi milk" that tastes like honey. So, I would recommend all parents to go with homeopathic medication vs. allopathic, which is gives more problems than cure for children in the future.
I am not happy with this product. You have to give A LOT of this syrup to your child (1 tea spoon every 2 hours!), it has lots of teeth-rotting sugar in it, and it does not work any better than other cough syrups. Two stars for the sweet taste my children love.
