I bought Afrin No Drip Severe Congestion and it really cleared up my congestion. As other reviewers have stated it starts to work within minutes, but it takes about 15 minutes for it to completely open up your nasal passages. It also does last the entire 12 hours that it says it will. I used it during a cold I had and I could taste food and breathe after using it, which was well worth the purchase price to me.
Please BEWARE! I tried this spray and had a very bad sneezing fit and horrible running nose all day and night long. Not to mention, terrible stabbing sinus pain. I called my pharmacist and he told me he has heard this same problem from many customers. They should put a warning on the bottle. What a nightmare.
I love this nasal `spray`, NOT the `pump-mist`, but I prefer the Original Afrin Nasal Spray because the severe congestion kind is a little too strong for me. I also prefer the 1 0z. size, it seems to work better because the larger size is easier to grasp. Afrin 12 Hour Original Nasal Spray is the best you can buy!
After trying pills and liquid medication with not much success, a friend suggested Afrin for my nasal congestion. I bought the "Severe Congestion" kind, and a couple minutes after pumping two sprays in each nostril, my nose was mostly clear. Probably half an hour later, my nose was COMPLETELY clear, and it still is several hours later. I love how the results are almost immediate. Also, for even easier breathing, try using Breathe Right nose strips with the Afrin and you`re set.
I love this product. I wake up congested all the time. I use this once, and I can breath again. It is too strong for my husband`s sensitive nose, but I think it is great.
