For those who felt like the product was too heavy or that it just sat on their hair...you are probably using WAY too much. You really only need a pea size amount. I had the same problem, but I scaled back how much I was using and it really helped. It is such a great product that you really don`t need that much for it to work, unlike the cheaper conditioners you can buy.
I only use Aveda products and this is a great product. My hair is fine and colored too but I discovered a great trick to combing my hair without damage. I let the product sit in my hair for 3 minutes, then I take a pick and comb through my hair while wet and the shower head spraying on it, I hardly ever have any hair fall out!!!
I am surprised so many like this product. While the shampoo is great, this product just `sits` on my hair and does not glide through or provide a feeling of conditioning. It`s very hard to get a comb through afterwards. I won`t buy again. My hair is fine/color treated.
This stuff smells really awesome and sort of minty, which I find to be relaxing. It works pretty good, but Matrix Sleek (which is cheaper), is much better.
I have naturally curly hair and this is the best product for non-greasy, perfect curls that last all day long. It`s by far my favorite product to curl my hair - I do use a diffuser to dry my hair and make it curly and this product works great.
This product might work for damaged hair or very dry hair. I get mine colored every six weeks, I suppose my hair would be considered normal. Used with or without the Color Conserve shampoo, this product left my hair greasy and weighed down. I never noticed any extended color benefits, either.
This product works great for my highlighted hair. It doesn`t weigh it down, but it does give it enough moisture that I don`t get "flyaways". The scent could be better, but at least it`s not offensive and it fades pretty quickly.
I don`t have colored hair, but I LOVED this product!!! It made my blonde hair look blonder. It also helped de-frizz my wavy hair. It made my hair smoother and shinier also. I would definitely recommend this conditioner.
For my dry, brittle color treated hair, it works awesome. After drying, I could run my fingers through my hair and no tangles. Leaves my hair soft. Smells GREAT!
I use Color Conserve Conditioner and Shampoo and I find them both to be excellent. I have tried many different salon and drugstore brands for color treated hair, and Color Conserve is the best in my experience. Not only does it conserve and enhance my hair color, but it makes my dry, curly hair softer, fuller and more manageable. An added bonus: it smells great!
