I like this brand much better than Lactaid, as the pills are not individually wrapped like Lactaid is. When you want to take a few, having to unwrap each one separately is really annoying. And trying to carry them with you is worse -- the wrappers really bulk the Lactaid ones up (and as I learned once, the Lactaid foil liners set off airport metal detectors to boot). But don`t be confused -- this is not the Ultra strength. You have to take three of these to equal one Ultra. Better to get the Ultra strength version instead of the original strength one so you don`t have to take, or carry, as many. I could not find the Ultra version on Drugstore.com currently, so had to buy it at the store whose name is on the bottle (the review acceptance system does not allow me to include that name).
For the price that drugstore.com offers these at, these are the best value out there. They have the same ingredients as the more expensive Lactaid brand and for those of us who are mildly lactose intolerant they do the job. I take a few before I drink a glass of milk and it prevents the painful intestinal cramps and bloating that I would always experience, especially the next morning.
