Every-PM I use Mack`s b/c hubby talks in his sleep. But, I recently traveled to Africa sporting my Mack`s earplugs...I wore the earplugs to bed while in Tanzania, too and gladly missed the natives wake-up call which reportedly startled the rest of team from their sleep. God is good~so are Mack`s silicone earplugs! Tx PB! MC
I also cannot get water in my ear during a shower, and these work very well. However, like another reviewer mentioned, they do fall out. My solution is to cover the earplug and my ear with waterproof medical tape. It`s an added layer of protection, and the tape doesn`t hurt coming off your skin or hair. These plugs are also good for sound. I tried the foam plugs, and they were horrible (they made a constant "crackling" sound as the foam shifted in my ear). I also tried the rigid plastic corkscrew-like plugs, and they were really horrible (rigidity and the ear canal to not mix!). Buy these - you`ll be very happy!
I had surgery on my left ear. The doctor told me that I couldn`t get any water in that ear for the rest of my life for fear of infection. His solution for that was a Ziploc back taped to my ear. I found these earplugs to be the absolute perfect solution. And, they can be re-used several times so they are long lasting. I will be buying these for the rest of my life.
