Have used it in the past and am getting ready to use it again. The test is easy and you get a good write up with the results. My results are within the range I have always been. Biosafe is easier than going to the doctors office.
Two months ago, I purchased and submitted both the BioSafe Cholesterol and PSA tests, but when the results came back, they were anywhere from 25% (Ch) to 250% (PSA) different from my normal annual results. When I called BioSafe to inquire, they admitted that there seemed to be a problem, especially with the PSA, but refused to retest. I then went back to my regular clinic for new tests, and the results were within a few percentage points of their normal values, so I am sorry to say that the BioSafe tests were absolutely worthless and very misleading.
I went to my doctor for a full cholesterol screening. After I was done, I went home and did one of these tests. I received the results and they were about 20% higher than the results from the doctor`s office. So either this test is way off, or my doctor`s lab is way off. Which one would you trust?
I have tried this test twice now. The first time they called me and said there wasn`t enough blood on the card, and the second time they called and said that there was too much blood. I will give them credit though, that they have sent me two replacement kits to try again each time. But, bottom line, this kit isn`t easy to use.
I have used this panel now 4 times and only once did the results vary much from a local lab, otherwise it read dead on. Why did the results vary? Maybe it was the foods I ate prior to the testing, or not wiping off the first signs of blood as directed. I will continue to use as a guideline -but not gospel.
My results were almost identical with the results I got from my doctor`s office. However, I did have trouble getting my fingers to bleed enough using the lancets.
This product should not be purchased. I purchased this kit and sent it in for results while simultaneously having a cholesterol panel done by a local lab. This home test was so inacurate compared with the real lab findings that it could actually be dangerous. There was over a 100 point difference between this test and my local lab on the total cholesterol. DO NOT BUY. You could mistakenly think you`re healthy or not based on completely inaccurate information
