Soy metabolizes out of your system in 8-12 hours. After reading this I increased the dosage to 2 times a day. 1 capsule at breakfast and one at dinner. It now works great. Prior to this I was taking one a day of a [...] house brand for about a month which did not seem to be helping all that much. For the same price GNC has 3 times the capsules as the [...] package. Started taking this 1 capusle, 2 times a day and within 1-2 weeks the hot flashes were gone. I have not had any side effects from the soy that I am aware of.
I have been taking soy supplements for about five years now. It has actually postponed "official" menopause; I still have regular cycles.
