I too have used this since I was a kid in the 50s. There were always a couple of tins in the medicine chest. My family used it for every type of skin problem you can imagine. My siblings and I even used it on mild acne during our teens and even though it is an ointment it actually helped to heal the pimples. We used it along with thorough washings with the Cuticura soap (back then there was only the original formula and it was grey. I still use the ointment and was glad to find it here as it is virtually impossible to find in the national chains (if you ask for Cuticura they don`t even know what it is). The combination of ingredients is amazing as it has not only anti-microbial properties but also contains fungicidal, amoebacidal, and anti-parasitic properties. I agree with another reviewer who said "there is nothing on the market today that even comes close!"
When my son was a baby he had diaper rash so bad that it would bleed when touched, after trying all the otc stuff we could find and prescriptions from the doctor, my Grandmother bought me my first cuticura in a tin, and within one diaper change it was almost gone, that was in 1980 and to this day cuticura is a staple in my house. I LOVE IT!!!
This ointment is amazing! It heals pretty much any minor skin eruption, abrasion, burn, you name it! It`s healing and works quickly. I find if I leave it on overnight it seems to get right to the business of healing whatever it`s applied to, and the area is noticeably better in the morning. You`ll really like it!
