While the severe irritation I experienced was not unique to this product -- it actually happens with any clear deodorant I try -- my review is meant to warn others with a similar sensitivity that just because this is natural/organic/vegan doesn`t mean it can`t give you one heck of a rash. Maybe Herban Cowboy could make a cream-based version?
A high quality all-natural product; a great alternative to harsh, chemical laden deodorants that line the shelves of the retail stores. This deodorant is a very thought out and well-made product. The scent is luxurious, but not overpowering. The packaging is very attractive and definitely emphasizes a masculine "male only" appeal. When you apply this deodorant it goes on silky smooth. No chalky residue. No burn or irritation. The great `dusk` scent last`s a surprisingly long time--I say surprisingly, because other `all-natural` deodorants have less-than-stellar scent maintaining ability. It`s really amazing that `herban cowboy` has managed to get a very high quality product like this out of all-natural and environmentally-friendly ingredients and processing. You can`t do any better than that!
Meh. This doesn`t work any better than cheaper natural deodorants. It is also extremely overpriced! Smells nice at first but the scent is weak and definitely doesn`t last. Also, during the first week of use, it made my underarm skin flake and peel.
Awesome, awesome, awesome. Aluminum free and "natural" and actually smells GOOD... Agreed, it`s not the deodorant to wear if you`re going to go straight from a 20 mile hike to a business meeting or anything (please, reapply) but it works reasonably well for day-to-day wear and really just smells fantastic. Ridiculously expensive, in my opinion, but totally, totally worth it.

FINALLY, a natural deodorant that actually WORKS! I had almost given up hope that I would never be able to use a natural deodorant until this stuff came along. This product met my husband`s minimum standards for odor control during warm weather. He had to discontinue use because of painful, red, irritated skin under his arms. A few days back on Mitchum Unscented, and the rash was gone. He does have very sensitive skin (especially sensitive to fragrance additives).
Used product for two days straight and quickly developed a huge rash under my arms. It worked as a deodorant, but awful on my skin. This has never happen before.
I`ve tried them all...I wanted to stop w/ the aluminum antiperspirants, have tried even the expensive "french" perfume deodorants. This works the best so far.
It has a pleasant smell. It`s clean, and fresh. It was a little difficult to get the stick to come up the first time. Pressing it too hard while applying or applying too much it can waste quickly, but I found that you just need to apply a few times per arm and it`ll suffice. However, summer hasn`t arrived yet, I`ll see if it withstands the stress.
Since I started using this product (several years ago), I haven`t used any other deodorant. It`s got a great scent, but not overpowering.
It works when others don`t without the irritation ....and the scent is awesome!!!
