Like another reviewer, I, too, had a really warm color to go over when I have naturally ashy hair (salon`s mistake). This color did not get rid of the warmness completely, but it did rid of the brassiness (reddish and yellowish). Even after my hair grew out, you could not see my roots at all, as there was little distinction between my roots and the rest of my hair. Amazing! I will continue to use this product.
Wonderful product. You cannot expect to change your hair color over an older color but you can tone, blend in grays and give lots of shine. I have several grays growing in and I use this product on roots only on damp hair. Then I shampoo in the rest. It only lasts about a month but I went to get a cut the other day and was asking about highlights to blend in gray and the stylist said that since I had no color line that what I was doing was super! Everyone remarked that my blended in grays looked very natural. The brass free type here is excellent - NO BRASS - yet no ash either. I save mega bucks and right now, that`s important!
I have naturally ashy blonde hair and Im trying to grow out a gross orange hued dye job. I used this product and left it in for even longer than the box says but I see no noticeable difference.
