I really wanted to get this system to start drinking cleaner water. I was so excited to get the flavor options too! It was pretty easy to install, but the flavors are only so, so and can easily be overpowering if you use too much. I agree with the others about the button. My mom pushes the button really hard and the mount is leaking. I didn`t know it was just plastic either. Kind of flimsy and cheap feeling. Aside from design flaws, water tastes great and it`s so apparent if it came from the tap or from the Brita. It`s kind of bulky though and blocks access to your sink though. I`d buy it again though. Just minor complaints.
I really wanted to love this, and I do, but there are definite problems with the design. When you push on the flavor button it puts too much pressure on the unit and water starts leaking from the faucet. We remedy that by pushing UP under the area where the flavor button is, at the same time we`re pushing down. This keeps it from having too much pressure. The other design complaint I have is that the cover over the flavor cartridges. It seems a little flimsy and doesn`t remove as smoothly as it seems like it should. The unit is plastic made to look like stainless steel and it tends to show fingerprints and smudges very quickly, which bugs me.
Sounds like a great idea but I try to avoid artificial sweeteners. I had to get all the way down to the ingredients list to see the product contains artificial sweeteners. I was hoping it was just flavors without sweeteners.
The kitchen faucet is not designed to support a faucet mounted dispenser. "Go into your Kitchen and lightly press on your faucet and just imagine how long it will take before your faucet needs to be repaired or replaced." Changing the flavor cartridge from one flavor to the next puts pressure on the faucet as well as that constant pushing on the unit to get out that desired amount of flavor. The design is terrible, and your faucet will eventually start leaking. The cost of hiring a plumber to repair your faucet will be an unexpected treat.
OMG, this is the best invention ever. I love to drink water now. I can`t stand the taste of plain water, and some of the packet drink mixers you add to the 16.9 oz. bottles are too much flavor. But this is a mild flavor, with just enough tiny sweet taste to make it taste great.
