Love this product! First of all, the product does not advertise that it is tear-free; it says it will not run into your eyes, which is true. I keep the travel size in my purse for touch-ups or in case I forgot to use before going out. My face is very sensitive, so I have to be careful what I use but I haven`t had a problem with these two products. I even use them under make-up. Theyre great for all-over use, including the face. I use it around my eyes, being careful not to get it into my eyes and it doesn`t run or irritate my eyes, even after hours.
I`ve used other "baby" sunscreens and have always been pleased. But this one is awful! The lotion is so thick that it`s very difficult to spread. You end up "pulling" on your child`s skin as you try to distribute it evenly. It`s very uncomfortable for them. My kids can`t stand the smell, and they`ve never complained about the smell of any other sunscreen over the last 15 years. I have to agree with them. The smell is not pleasant like most other sun protection products. I ended up throwing out half the bottle because it just wasn`t worth using any more.
Great product. There are so many baby sunscreens out there, but I decided upon this one since it provided maximum protection. (Yes, you get diminishing returns for SPFs above 30, but if they`re a comparable price, why not get the higher protection?) I also loved that it is enriched with Vitamins A, C, and E, and aloe vera. But the kicker is that it`s PABA-free and in the long run, I feel it`s better to expose my baby to as little chemicals as possible. It smells great and doesn`t feel greasy. You get an 8 oz bottle here plus a 2 oz travel size bottle. The travel size is wonderful to drop into the diaper bag to reapply every 2 hours when you`re on the run. I also bought this brand`s sunscreen stick to use on my baby`s face. I highly recommend it also, since I personally find the stick easier to use on a squirming child.
