Purchased this for my wife, who has had a long history of SADS. At first she gave me "thunder" for spending so much for such a tiny thing, but then, after she had used it for a few days, she told me how glad she was that I had purchased it for her. It really works exceptionally well for her, is very easy to program and use, and makes her feel much better than she has for years without resorting to "drugs". I would gladly do it again -- it`s a little price for a lot of relief!
Works very well! I also recommend the battery pack, to make this truly portable.
Given the small size, I was skeptical, but for a tiny box it sure packs a punch. If you buy it, you should keep this limitation in mind - it`s not going to light up the whole room, but when I put it behind my computer at work every day, it does leave a powerful sensation of light at the back of my eyes. It doesn`t totally reverse my gray mood, but used regularly it seems to cheer me up better than other light-therapy products I`ve tried.
I love the portability of this light box - its small size will be great for when we travel, plus it fits in just about any place! I have CFIDS and FMS (Chronic Fatigue & Immune Dysfunction & Fibromyalgia) and have been using the mood light for almost two weeks. I have already seen a great improvement in my mood, pain levels, and ability to get up earlier in the day. I would recommend this product to those with seasonal affective disorder, those living with pain, and those with sleep disorders! Be sure to always check with your doctor before trying a new treatment!
