Shaves as close as a razor, but takes a little time. quality is great, reacharger works great but replacement cartridges are hard to find. I have owned several shavers, this is the only one that has come close to equalling the shave of a razor.
Before I purchased the Panasonic 8077S just over a year ago, I had resigned myself to fact that with my rough skin, I`d never be truly satisfied with a shaver. Was I wrong. This one shaves smooth and close, and my 5 o`clock shadow doesn`t show up until about 9-10 p.m. Braun makes some good shavers, but in my opinion, this is better. There`s nothing that I`ve tried in the past from Remington and Norelco that even comes close, and the Walz shavers were absolutely terrible. I plan to get another Panasonic when this one dies--although it`s going strong using the same cutter and a replacement foil. I use the cleaner mechanism every other day, and this allows one filter to last about 2 to 2 1/2 months.
