I use this product on my 60-year-old permed hair with great results. I use it once a week along with a clarifying conditioner from KMS that I also really like. I must have a very poor sense of smell at this stage of my life because I do not notice any unpleasant odor from this shampoo (or the regular Ojon shampoo, which I also occasionally use). And certainly no odor or fragrance that remains after I rinse my hair. This shampoo cleans my hair but doesn`t strip it--exactly what I wanted it to do.
Ojon Detox Recovery Cleanser does a fantastic job at stripping hair of all the yucky stuff that tends to hang around from deep conditioning and daily styling, but it smell AWFUL! I continue to use this product because it does do such a great job, but I practically gag every time I decide that it is time for a deep cleaning. The smell is a mix of super sweet palm nut oil and motor oil. YUCK. As a positive, although it is expensive, one bottle lasts a long time. I haven`t even made it to the end of my first. If you have a strong stomach for stinky beauty products, this is the product for you. If you have to use products that smell great, steer clear!
This is by far the best deep cleansing shampoo I have ever used. I have very fine color treated hair and I use this shampoo the day before I use the deep conditioner once a week. Other days I use the Hydra thickening Shampoo and conditioner. It makes me feel like I have gobs of soft silky hair that holds volume for the entire day. My color looks great and I get so many compliments. Personally I love the smell of these products especially the deep conditioner.
Although this is a great product for getting rid of all the residue, beware if you have color treated hair. I noticed that it stipped my color right out, even though it says it`s for all hair types I wouldn`t recommend it if your hair is colored.
I`m a huge Ojon fan despite the strongish smell of the restorative hair treatment. This product is absolutely key eliminating build up from all the rich Ojon conditioning products. I use it once every week to ten days when I think of it. It`s highly concentrated. I`ve had my original bottle for about five months, and it`s only about half used up. I do think it should come in a larger size for the price, though. It smells good, too!
Excellent product, as this does exactly as it should to remove excess build up from hair and make it ultra shiny and full of body. This is great to use before the Ojon restorative deep conditioning treatment. This is a much better deep cleansing shampoo than most others I have tried because it does not strip your hair and cause damage.
