I have aggressively straight, baby fine permed hair. This product helps keep the curl longer and my hair doesn`t dry out and break off when I use it as it has in the past when I`ve permed and used regular shampoos. In addition, it doesn`t strip my hair color. I`m a natural redhead, but Biolage and Pantene somehow take a lot of the red out. Marc Anthony doesn`t--that tells me it`s gentle and gentle is what I need on my chemically treated fine hair. The smell isn`t great, but it`s not terrible.
I have fine curly hair which has a tendency to get really weighed down by a lot of product. This shampoo (in combination with the conditioner) didn`t really improve my curls, and seemed to leave a residue & really weigh things down. My curls were duller, less bouncy and the texture of my hair felt totally different. That said, this might work for someone who has really thick/coarse hair... and a diminished sense of smell--the stuff reeks like some weird chemical rendition of fruit salad--not my thing. Ultimately, you could get the same (better?) results by spending half as much on pantene... or spend $2-$3 bucks more for tigi or biolage products that reliably deliver curl enhancement without the bizarre side effects.
I`ve tried just about every product for curly hair. I have natural curl; nothing was ever great or awesome. I didn`t expect much when I tried this one, but THIS PRODUCT IS AWESOME AND GREAT! FINALLY, SOMETHING WORKS! I AM IN AWE OF THE RESULTS! I noticed just in the shower how different it would be and when I diffused/dried it as I do. It really turned out awesome! Perfect, non-frizzy curls, very natural! Super, Super Product!
