I`m 62 yrs old with all the aches and pains that come with it! My specialist prescribed Glucosamine with no other drugs in it; "as pure as you can get". This Knox Glucosamine with Gelatine is exactly that! I can`t take blood thinners (chondroitin) and other additives, and must not take in a lot of salt. So this is the best I have found and the purest. This hydrochloride form is more concentrated than the sulfate form, and it contains substantially less sodium per effective dose than the sulfate form (the other brands). Glucosamine sulfate (the other brands) are stabilized with sodium chloride (table salt) and can contain as much as 30% sodium. This is a consideration for individuals who want to reduce their dietary intake of sodium. Thanks!!
Horribly big tablets (for me). So hard to swallow. I have to "chew" or powderize it. Otherwise, it gets stuck in my throat. Just awful. I decided to go back to the powder form.
I bought this for the high gelatin it contains. I find my joints feel better while taking this. When I don`t take it, the joints feel tight. So I think it works. Gelatin is great for hair, skin, and nails, that is why I like this Glucosamine better than others.
