We`ve had lots of the flat catnip/scratcher thingies over the years. This one got such great reviews I thought there must be something special about it. If there is, my cats haven`t found it. They use it every once in a while, but far prefer the one that lies flat on the ground. I`m sorry I got this -- it takes up much more room and seldom is used.
I figured there was NO WAY my cat would use this, but I decided to give it a try anyway. He has a habit of scratching my expensive couch and office chair. Well, lo and behold, he uses it!!! Four of the eight legs are destroyed, this item (with the enclosed catnip) saved the other four legs! Well worth the money!
The item is excellent. I wish you could buy refills for it. Cosmic Catnip is the best catnip in the world! The cardboard scratcher lasts a long time, I`m forever vacumning it off of my carpet!
