I love this shampoo & conditioner. It does seem to help with the fading - I`m pretty picky about how my red hair color looks and it was always hard to wait a reasonable amount of time in between colorings because I didn`t like how quickly it faded. Using this stuff I can wait 5-6 weeks and it doesn`t look bad. Not sure how well the related color-depositing glaze helps, I had thought that was part of what was working but I ran out & haven`t noticed a deficiency. And the smell of it is great - kind of a clean fruity scent but not obnoxiously sweet. I get a lot of compliments when I use it!
It`s only a good shampoo if your hair is DARK red. I have vibrant, juicy red hair and all it did was take away the vibrancy and how rich the color looked and made it look red orange instead of luscious red violet. I`d invest in Bumble & Bumble True Red shampoo and conditioner because it benefits both warm shades and cool shades of red.
I love this conditioner. After dying my hair red, it usually fades out in about 3 weeks or so. It`s been 2 months...I use the John Freida shampoo and this conditioner for Reds, I just love it because it keeps my color in. The red fades gradually, and still very noticeable under the sun. My friend saw my hair and asked if I dyed it. I was like "yeah...2 months ago".
