I just read these reviews & its true; either you have to have short hair or you have to have good skills to use it for long. I do know that because I have been using these rollers since my school time. Its already been 10 years that Ive used Self Hold Rollers, so I have much experience. When you learn how to use them you will be impressed by the result. When I do my hair with them I get so many compliments & everybody says I went to hairstylist but I didn`t! TIPS from me: USE THEM ON WET HAIR, TRY TO TAKE LESS HAIR TO ROLL AT ONCE & HOLD HAIR AT THE ROOTS WHEN YOU UNROLL IT; once it dries unroll, shake the hair with your fingers head down, don`t comb, and then look at the mirror & be happy! Using self rollers doesnt damage your hair because you don`t use heat; even you use a hair drier it doesn`t do harm on it! BEAUTY TAKES SACRIFICES!
I noticed that most of the reviews for these curlers were from women with long hair and in all cases, it was difficult to remove the curlers without them becoming tangled. Well, as someone who has short hair which is thin, these curlers are a blessing... they are wonderful to use, quick to put in and take off and leaves my hair bouncy. And so I would recommend them for anyone who has shorter hair that is like mine.
