I wanted to give this a fair try, so I used it every morning for a full week, but it never got any better. The smell is awful and never goes away--smells sort of like ginger mixed with something that stinks. It`s a bizarre smell. Also there`s nothing calming about this product. In fact, it`s the only moisturizer I`ve ever tried that actually burns my face! I threw this out after my one-week trial.
I`ve used this product for about a year now and I love it. It is very moisturizing and works well at relieving the blotchy red spots I get around my mouth. My sister has rosecea and this product did not lessen her reddness, but my blotches tend to disappear within 15min of putting on the lotion. The only downfall is that it doesn`t seem to last very long (or perhaps I just have really dry skin) I apply it at night, again in the morning, without washing my face in between, and still seem to need another reapplication around 4-5pm. But otherwise it is a very good product for dry, sensitive skin, that tends to get occassional reddness.
My face started having a pinkish tone to it after I started using a prescription for my acne and I wanted to try this to see if I could get rid of the redness it was causing. I definitely noticed a difference. However, it does make my skin feel oily/greasy on my forehead and around my chin, so I would only like this product better if it didn`t make me feel so oily after a couple hours after applying it.
