I`ve high expectations for hair products. I want to flip my head up after blow drying and have supermodel hair. This product is it. My hair is thin, straight, and static-y. But this makes my hair thick, voluminous, and gets rid of static. I put it in my damp hair, especially at roots, and then blow dry upside-down to 90% dry. I flip my head up and bring all hair forward over my collar bones. I twist and twirl both sides inward, rub a little more product over the twists, and it stays and dries this way (looks like I have naturally sexy waves.) Lastly, I put a little on the tips of my fingers and push it up under the hair on each side of the part to create even more lift. You only need to use a little yet its hard to use too much. I have not experienced the residue that others have, at all. I LIKE the liquid-y texture as this makes it easier to deposit evenly throughout hair. Love it.
Although I didn`t like this product, it was better than the other products Ive tried, that`s why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. First, it was really sticky, slimy, and gooey. It took forever to work it through my hair, and it still didn`t look good. My hair would clump together, and the product would leave behind this white "residue" that would look like dandruff. Lastly, it smelled really bad, like fermented fruit, and it would spill all over the place when I carried it around in my backpack. Im never getting this product again. Yuck!
Although this doesn`t do EXACTLY what I want it to do, it`s the best putty Ive tried yet - and Ive tried a bunch! It gives my medium hair a messy, sexy look, and hold for a long, long time! The other products Ive tried didn`t give me nearly as much of a tousled look as this one and basically vanished from my hair after a short time. I also really like the scent, and the price is unbeatable! There is just one thing: it takes a bit longer to work it through my hair, because if I don`t then it leaves behind white & sticky residue that doesn`t look pleasant (wish I had light hair!).
