Fell in love the day i put it on and 6 yrs later still love it
I went to David's Bridal just for fun to try on dresses with my mom and some of my bridal party. I had no intention to purchase a dress. As I tried on various dresses I realized I had no idea what I really wanted. Once I put this dress on everyone's jaw dropped and my mother started crying. That kind of sealed the deal for me, plus it didn't hurt that I was purchasing it from a consultant that used to teach at my high school. Small world!
I had tried on four dresses before this one and none of them seemed to be it. My Mom had seen this dress in the catalog and had the consultant pull it for me even though I had not picked it because I missed it when looking. The second I saw the dress I knew it was the one, and then i put it on. I love this dress and the lace trim at the bottom is the perfect touch. Also, I think the cut of the dress would work on any body type.
Initially, it was between this dress and another gorgeous dress. Both looked great on me, and while shopping with my bridesmaid on Saturday, I had to come back the next day while my parents were in town to make my final decision. My bridal consultant cried, and she said I was the third bride who did that. My mom and stepdad teared up...I even got a reaction out of my younger brother, who said wow...you look pretty (that is a lot for him!) I had strangers come up to me and fluff up the train, and tell me that that was my dress, that I was just glowing in this dress. While it is initially more formal than I wanted for a beach wedding, I didn't care because it was just enough sparkle and the lace is gorgeous and I feel absolutely stunningly gorgeous in this dress. Very, very happy with my purchase, and looking forward to October 16, 2010 when my fiance sees me walk down the aisle in this dress. I know that he is going to tear up!!!
