I am not impressed with partial opening of the bag
After an exhaustive search, I finally settled upon this particular bag to securely store/carry my 17.5 Toshiba laptop. Although Im not impressed with the storage capabilities (a small outer pocket for a power cord and mouse with a thin internal pocket that will only hold a single magazine or a small document folder), I was extremely pleased with the ease of use I experienced passing through airport security. Unlike several other passengers, I was not required to remove my laptop for examination...I simply unzipped the bag, placed it flat on the conveyor belt and walked through the metal detector! As a frequent flier, this single action is priceless and gives me great pleasure as I move around, and ahead of, other travelers removing their technology from their bags! :o) This ease of use is especially appreciated when I travel with my toddler, his bags and the ever-appreciated umbrella stroller!
Bag is origanized to handle my HP 18.3 laptop in a very convienant way.
This bag is just the right fit for my busy life style. It is functional and very easy to use.
Its well made and it has stayed attractive. The straps are a bit annoying. They dont stay adjusted to the length. The straps attachment to the case doesnt swivel so I always have to adjust the strap when I put it over my shoulder. Minor, but annoying. There is limited storage space by design. There is a zippered back that you can unzip to form a sleeve to go over your luggage handle. When zipped shut, it seems that you should be able to store papers there, but there is a seam that makes it difficult to insert papers.
This is a great laptop bag for your larger laptops. It fits my HP HDX18t perfectly with space for accessories, power adapters, etc. I had scoured the web looking for a laptop case that didnt have wheels but also had some stoage pockets for my 18 inch laptop. This Case Logic is one of the only bags available for the larger sized laptop that doesnt resemble a suitcase. I felt it was a bit pricy for my tastes, but was it is definitely what I needed. I didnt realize the main zippered pocket had cloth flaps that prevented it from opening completely until after it had arrived. As I have used it though, Ive grown to like that feature. It really is pretty handy at times when I only have one hand free. The main pocket keeps my computer safe and cushioned, and I feel that it would be quite well protected if I, being slightly accident prone, would drop it. I highly recommend this case if you have a larger laptop. Several other bags claim to be able to fit the 18 inch screen size, but when you compare the dimensions of your laptop and the interior of their bags, you realize theres no way it can work.
